Turnaround Times

We do everything within our power to get your equipment back to you as quickly as possible because we know how important it is. Our normal turnaround is one week but during very busy periods it can go up to 2 or more weeks. If you know you're going away try and get it in early to avoid that pre-holiday stress! Reserve repacks we can normally turn around in a week. This means that if you get it to us on a Monday morning it is usually back with you on Friday. How good is that! For current turnaround time see our Facebook page.

Paraglider Servicing Glider servicing comprises of a comprehensive inspection of your paraglider; visual inspection of upper and lower surfaces, intercell ribs, seams, lines, line tabs, links, maillons and risers. Every element is thoroughly inspected for wear, degradation and damage. Sail cloth porosity is measured and tensile line strength is tested if necessary. All brake main lines are checked to comply with manufacturer specifications and a sample of lines are measured across the glider. Fabric strength is measured on older or more worn gliders using a betsometer.

With the inspection you will receive a full written report highlighting any problems found, any previous repairs, work carried out and a report of the gliders general condition

Paraglider Repairs We can repair any part of a damaged paraglider or kite. Small tears and holes can be repaired with self-adhesive ripstop tape. Larger tears or those near a stress point will typically be repaired with a sewn patch or panel section.

At your request we can replace full panels thus providing a completely invisible repair and we have even repaired gliders torn completely in half! We stock a huge selection of cloth and lines, so for the majority of repairs we can exactly match the fabric to the manufactures specification and if we don't have it we can usually get it!

We hold an enormous stock of line so we can usually match your gliders lines very accurately. If we don't have the exact colour we generally manage a good match and always the same fabric and diameter. All our lines are made to order and to the exact manufacturer specification. We are equipped with the vast majority of line plans so we pride our selves at being able to get your line order to you the next day so long as you order it before 1pm.

How to order a line;

The information we need from you to make your line is:

  • Your gliders make, model & size.
  • Which line.
  • Line colour.

Lines explained:

You can either give us the line code or length off the manufactures line plan in your service book, if available, or simply count the lines from the centre of the wing, note the level and whether an A, B, C, D, E or Brake Line. See example diagram below.

Different gliders have a variety of line levels from Main lines (attached to your riser) through to Upper lines (attached to your glider) with possibly mid lines in between.

Royal Marines Paraglider LogoWe are very experienced at fitting logos and text to Gliders, Kites and Flags. If you know what you want and have a design, send it to us and we can discuss sizes and give you a quote. Alternatively, if you have little idea and/or no design and you would like us to help inspire you then we should be able to do just that!

If you just can't wait and need that little inspiration right now then why not take a look at our Gallery page for some prime examples.

Paraglider Harness RepairsHarness repairs are totally dependant on what the damage is. Major structural damage, such as that caused by paramedics wielding big scissors, are generally a write off. Cosmetic damage to the underseat is usually repairable if we're able to squeeze it under our industrial sewing machine.

Typically, harness repairs are quite time consuming, so consequently not cheap! Usually £30 - £80 but could be more!

Don't worry, we will quote before spending too much of your hard-earned cash!

Reserve Parachute RepacksAs a BHPA approved and qualified centre for parachute reserve repacking and system checking, all reserves that come to us for repacking are deployed and hung in the workshop to air for 24 hours where possible. They are then thoroughly inspected, measured and repacked to manufacturer specifications. Before refitting the harness shoulder attachment points, maillons and bridle are all examined. The reserve is then refitted and deployment checked.

So trusted and experienced within the chute repacking industry are we that other businesses sub-contract our services to repack for their customers - we may have repacked your chute even if you have not dealt directly with us!

Kite RepairsWe can repair any part of a damaged kite. Small tears and holes can be repaired with self-adhesive ripstop tape. We stock a huge selection of cloth and lines, so for the majority of repairs we can exactly match the fabric to the manufactures specification and if we don't have it we can usually get it!
